Wayside Cottage bed and breakfast guest house, nestling in the picturesque village of Padfield on the outskirts
of Glossop, gateway to the Peak District, was built in 1645. Origininally forming part of the original farm
out buildings, it has since been lovingly restored with original exposed beams and inglenook
fireplaces with cast iron wood-burning stoves for good measure.
The large cottage has a wonderful feel to it and when you
cross the threshold, there is a certain 'olde worlde' aura about every room. With
beautiful antiques that compliment each room there is a different experience to
behold in all the nooks and crannies that you only find in a period property.
Wayside Cottage Bed and Breakfast is featured in the highly acclaimed accommodation guide book
"Staying off the Beaten Track." Entries in this book are only through recommendation
and subsequent visits by the author. You will not enjoy better B & B accommodation in the Peak District...
Although Wayside Cottage is surrounded by some of the worlds
most beautiful countryside, it is perfectly situated, close enough for you to visit
the attractions of Manchester (13 miles) and the Trafford Shopping Centre.
